REQUIREMENTS : Grade 12 Certificate or NQF level, FETC Child and Youth Care Certificate/Qualification. Registration with the SACSSP Council and proof of fee of annual costs for the modern cycle. A minimal of seven (7) years trip working as a Child and Youth Care Worker after acquiring the required qualification, National Diploma or Degree in Child and Youth Care improvement will be brought advantage. A legitimate driver’s licence is required. Competencies: Knowledge of Public Service Legislation, Mental Health and Substance abuse associated legislation. Must be in a position to work cooperatively with others, Must be capable to construct a nice relationship of have faith with provider users, Must be capable to show exact moral and ethical conduct, should be in a position to mentor, educate and supply non-stop support, guidance, and recommendation to provider users.
Must be capable to hold wholesome interpersonal members of the family with others. Must be capable to control the overall performance and behavior of supervisees, Must be in a position to deliver clear messages/information and write clear reports, Must be capable to remedy problems, Must be capable to layout and prepare very own work and supervisees’ work, Must be in a position to make sure implementation of deliberate applications and things to do for provider users. Must be in a position the merchandising and upholding of the rights of carrier users, Must recognize the policies and approaches of the remedy centres. DUTIES: Supervise Child & Youth Care Workers. Manage work overall performance and improvement of the supervisees. Implementation of norms and requirements of Inpatient cure centres. Monitor compliance with applicable legislations and insurance policies and promote carrier users’ rights.
