Product Application Engineer Vacancy
Job Description
A leading engineering and industrial solutions company specialising in power transmission and gearbox technologies is currently seeking a Product Application Engineer to join their dynamic Gearboxes team in Parkhaven.
Responsibilities
- Assist in achieving or exceeding company sales targets by applying technical expertise to position gearbox solutions as best-in-class within the industry.
- Provide technical sales support and product application guidance to customers, field sales teams, and internal sales staff.
- Develop and implement market saturation plans with measurable objectives in collaboration with the Gearboxes team.
- Train and support branch teams on product offerings and total cost of ownership (TCO) solutions.
- Utilise the company CRM system to manage sales opportunities, customer interactions, and action plans effectively.
- Continuously enhance and share product knowledge within the Gearbox team.
- Prepare monthly reports on market trends, competitor activity, product developments, opportunities, and business challenges.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Sales Teams to improve resource deployment and technical capabilities.
- Contribute to gearbox business plans and participate in monthly team reviews and strategy discussions.
Requirements
- Technical Degree, Diploma, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development or technical sales support.
- Thorough knowledge of gearbox products and industrial applications.
- Technical foundation combined with a strong sales orientation.
- Valid driver’s license.
