Job Description
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Sygnia, a leading multi-management company in South Africa, offers a position on the Employee Benefits Administration team for a Junior Employee Benefits Claims Administrator.
DUTIES AND DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring all documentation for benefit claims is reviewed and proactively following up on any outstanding items.
- Disinvestment and payment of all types of claims within the required turnaround times (e.g. divorce, death, retirement, etc.)
- Applications for tax directives from SARS.
- Following up promptly where tax has failed.
- Updating claim notes on workflows directly onto Everest.
- Monitor workflow reports daily.
- Scanning and archiving physical documents in the department.
- Capturing nomination of beneficiary forms onto Everest.
- Working closely with all relevant parties, e.g. internal and external consultants, administrators, management, fund accountants, etc.
- Assisting members, consultants and other stakeholders with queries via both email and telephone.
ROLE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Matric is essential as a minimum requirement.
- Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Must be fluent and articulate in English. Strong communication skills are essential – both written and verbal.
