Minimum Requirements

- Grade 10 / Standard 8 Technical qualification (Essential)
- AET Level 4 certification (Essential)
- Completion of at least one Skills Program (Essential):

- AA Diesel Mechanic
- AA Plater Welder
- AA Electrical
- Minimum 1-year technical support experience as a Helper/Operator in heavy industry
- Psychometric Assessment (conducted by Exxaro)
- Certificate of Fitness (conducted by Exxaro)
- Welding, cutting, and refractory installation skills
- Ability to conduct first-level inspections and basic fault-finding
- Strong adherence to safety and housekeeping practices

Duties and Responsibilities
As an Exxaro Artisan Aide, you will:
- Assist artisans with machinery servicing, maintenance, and overhauls
- Conduct first-level inspections and basic fault-finding on equipment
- Support scheduled and reactive maintenance to ensure reliability
- Perform welding, cutting, and refractory installation tasks
- Monitor and maintain production equipment, reporting breakdowns
- Recondition components and test repaired equipment for functionality
- Promote and comply with health, safety, and housekeeping standards
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow SHEC requirements
- Collaborate with diverse teams while showing accountability and adaptability
