SENIOR BURSARY OFFICER REF NO: FIN 3/2022 (X1 POST)
Section: Financial Accounting and Management Accounting (Permanent). SALARY: R321 543 per annum (Level 08). CENTER: Thekwini TVET College (Head Office)
REQUIREMENTS: Certificate of Enrollment or equivalent Recognized National Diploma of three (3) years in Financial management/accounting (NQF level 6) 2-3 years of experience in scholarships/financial aid services knowledge of financial functions, practices such as well as the ability to enter data, operate computers and collate financial information statistics knowledge of the financial legislation of the Public Service, procedures and Treasury Regulations (PFMA, PPPFA, Financial Manual). knowledge of financial operating systems (Coltech, etc.) Computer skills. planning and organizing Good verbal and written communication Basic numeracy skills Ability to perform routine tasks Ability to operate office equipment Flexibility Interpersonal Relations Accuracy Number Skills.
DUTIES: Ensure overall oversight and coordination of student scholarship plans and financial aid administrative support services for the entire college. ensure the general supervision and administration of scholarships and financial aid programs university-wide application processes in accordance with NSFAS guidelines,
funder MOU/SLA and policies. Ensure general supervision and authorization of disbursement of funds Ensure overall supervision and facilitation of other financial aid schemes i.e. WRSETA, HWSETA etc. Ensuring general supervision,
monitoring, evaluation and maintenance of the database of all student applications in terms of the Department of Higher Education and Training and NSFAS requirements Ensure overall oversight and consolidate reporting of all college-wide scholarships and financial aid awards Oversee human resources, physical and financial resources.
