CHILD AND YOUTH CARE WORKER (X6 POSTS)

SALARY: R184 320 per annum, (OSD Package), (an all-inclusive remuneration package)
CENTRE: JB Marks Treatment Centre (X1 Post) Reamogetswe Child And Youth Care Centre (X3 Posts) Khuseleka One Stop Centre (X1 Post) Reamogetswe Secure Care Centre (X4 Posts)
REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 and a certificate in Child and Youth Care. Current proof of registration with the South African Council for Social Services Professionals (SACSSP) (proof of registration submitted when shortlisted). Experience in CYCC will be an added advantage. Current registration with the SACSSP council as a Child and Youth Care Worker. Competencies: Ability to maintain confidentiality. Good communication skills. Good time keeping. Ability to work as a team. Problem-solving skills. Planning and organising skills. Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures in Child and Youth Care. Interpersonal and Leadership skills. Able to do shift work.
DUTIES: Provide a secure, caring and therapeutic developmental programme for young people. Build positive relationships with young people. Render developmental work with young people and their families. Responsible for daily logging and report writing. Engage young people in developmental programmes. Ensure adequate supervision. Conduct life space interviews. Work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the formulation and implementation of individual developmental plans for young people. Escort young people to hospital clinics and other referrals. Perform all the administration functions required by the job.
