For the 2025 National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams, the results are released in January 2026:

  • National Results Announcement: 12 January 2026 — national pass rates and highlights are shared.
  • Individual Results Accessible: From 13 January 2026 (from ~06:00) — you can start checking your personal results via various methods.

📲 How to Check Your 2025 Matric Results Online

  3. Select the NSC exam results link.
  4. Enter your exam number and any other required personal details (sometimes ID number).
  5. Click Search, and your result will appear on the screen.

SMS & USSD (Offline)

If you don’t have internet or prefer mobile:

  • SMS:
  • Text your ID number + exam number to the designated results SMS number (e.g., 35658). Charges apply (~R1.50).
  • USSD:
  • Dial *120*35658# and follow prompts to enter your details. Standard network charges apply.

These will send your results via SMS when they’re available.

📌 Other Ways to Retrieve Your Results

1. From Your School or Exam Centre

  • Go to the school or examination centre where you wrote the exams. Your Statement of Results is usually available from 13 January.
  • This physical statement is the official copy and is required for most university, bursary, and job applications.

2. Provincial or App Platforms

  • Some provinces (e.g., Gauteng) have their own results portals — like:
  • https://results.gauteng.gov.za/ — where you enter your exam number to view results.
  • Official mobile apps (like DBE or MatricsMate) can show your results too.

3. Newspapers

  • Major South African newspapers may publish lists of matric results using exam numbers only (ID privacy rules).

âť— If You Can’t Find Your Results

  • Wait a little — some candidates may not show up immediately online due to system delays.
  • If still missing after a while, contact your school or the provincial education office.
