The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) uses the MSDS (Military Skills Development System) to recruit soldiers.

⚠️ Important:

• Forms are free (never pay anyone)
• You must print and submit it physically.

👉 Applications only open when SANDF officially announces the intake.

⏳ When will the 2027 forms open?

• 2026 intake closed: 28 March 2025
• If applying now (2026), you must wait for the next intake announcement (2027)

📢 Usually forms open:
February – March each year for the next year’s intake.

So expect 2027 MSDS forms around:

📝 How to get SANDF MSDS forms

You can get forms from:

1. SANDF recruitment offices (best option)
Go to the nearest military recruitment office in your province.

2. Download PDF form NOW
Sometimes posted online as a printable PDF (army, navy, air force, health).

3. Post or hand deliver
Submit completed forms to the SANDF recruitment office or mail to Pretoria HQ. 

📋 Requirements (usually the same each year)

You must:

• South African citizen (no dual citizenship)
• Age 18–22 (up to 26 with a degree) 
• Grade 12 passed
• No criminal record
• Medically & physically fit
• No visible tattoos
• Must pass fitness & medical tests 

Documents needed

Attach certified copies:

• ID
• Matric certificate/results
• CV
• Qualifications (if any)
